4th June

Well this is my first progress entry: Month one sees the task of getting together a basic force organisation 2 troops and a HQ. I plan on going for a hard boyz mob with scavenged marine parts and a Nob with a stolen chaos lord power fist and a Grot mob - I am using the old grot models for this as I want Rag-gutz and his grots to be ferral in appearence compared to their Deff Skulz allies.These are all made up and are started in terms of painting.

 For Rag-Gutz himself I plan to use  an old rogue trader Mad boy model and covert the pose to look spaced out and down (still awaitin the model to arrive). 

To make up the points for this week (without painting 40 boyz) I am giving the Hard boyz a looted wagon as transport with a Burner. I have chosen to convert a rhino for this adding a speeder flamer and an orc driver. I have painted this with a base of Necron Abiss, a dark blue wash, the detail paint in utra blue and then highlight in ferris grey.

 

9th June

Right, Finished the looted rhino, (not 100% happy but i am new to orks)  finished the hard boy Nob and the boyz have had their first coat.  Plus my Mad boy has arrived !!!!- I have decided to pose him holding special lucky charms ( a snakes head and a skull) to help give him that - i dont really belong here- kind of look, will be undercoating him today with the grots to work on over the weekend.

12th June

Ard Boyz and Nob nearly Complete. Used camo green undercoat, highlight goblin green, thraka green wash, highlight camo green for the skin. The blue is necron abiss, highlight utra blue, aruman blue wash (?) the highlight ferris grey.

decided today that I am going to need a little more pointage for the first month so the new plan is:

HQ Madboy warphaed - 85pts

Madboy squad Grots and Runrherd with grot pod - 45pts

12 ard boyz, 1 Nob with looted power klaw, boss pole - 160pts

12 boyz, 1 Nob with big choppa - 99pts

looted wagon, ard case, skorcha, big shoota, grot riggers, ram, stikkbomb, armor plates - 90pts

total - 479 pts

23rd June

Right getting to the business end of the month and have 11 boyz to finish !!!!!

July 6th

Wow - what a month but ta da !!! got all the boyz painted on time and 5 points in the bag. But it ain eazy being green and it was touch and go - I had to paint 1 boyz the night before the final day.

so the completed first month list is:

Rag-gutz wierdboy warphead - 85pts

10 grots + Runtherd - 40pts

11 Ard boyz + Nob with Klaw - 150 pts

looted wagon with 2x big shootas and skorcha - 65pts

12 boyz + Nob with Klaw - 113pts

Trukk with red paint - 45pts

498pts

For month two we have been challenged to add 250 points to the list and create an objective. More on the objective to come.

For the 250 points i plan to paint and convert 5 deffkoptas - I realised that my army lacked any armor killers at range and with 3 marine chapters to face this is essential.  Also my army (for orks) played too slow so an injection of mad pace was required.

 I am having them all with twin linked rokkits and one with a buzz saw - I plan to convert some bomb squiqs later on in the tale for 5 big bombs.

9th July

Right built all of my Deffskulkoptas, and painted one - i have gone for a metalic blue feel to the kopta with the same paint scheme as the hard boyz, Necron abiss base, untra blue and dark blue wash but instead of highlighting in ferris grey I have chipped the pannels and weather streaked them with Necron abiss. I have painted under the kopta and in less shaded areas ferris grey to give contrast.

I have built my objective and it is awaiting glueing and undercoat - The objective is “the paint dump” I figured that if the Deffskulzpaint everything blue for luck then they must have alot of blue paint, and therefore must value it highly.

So I have constructed a grid platform like the old space hulk floor and cast crates and barrels. I am going to model it so that it looks like the area has been ramshacked and paint stollen.

The idea behind this is that the small war party heading towards the paint dump with their new weid boy arrive at the objective only to find that it has be plundered and this triggers the rage of the deffskulz and Waaaaagh!!! Gobface is launched to ”get dem dat did it” - and it Ork logic this does not mean look atthe evidence, it means kill everything on the planet that is not an ork and you are bound to kill them ”dat did it”.

I have also in advance of the waaaagh begining created Warlord Wozgash Gobface. (his story to follow month 3 or 4) 

I have tried to make him as large and imposing as I can - he is made up of: Gazguuls body, Blackreach head, Nobz top knot, two boyz shooters, bosspole, black reach warboss twin linked bigshooter and a converted chain saw power Klaw.  He is soooo big I am going to have to put him on a 50mm base min. Oh and i am going to give him a squigg hound - hopefully a converted Hell hound but wait and see.
